MARCELLUS BARKSDALE
While in high school, Marcellus played for Charlotte Court. He currently works for Kentucky Basketball Commission and coaches on the side. He attended IUPUI where he played basketball and earned his Master’s Degree.
MIKE BOARD
Michael grew up in Richmond, KY and played basketball for Madison Central High School. After high school, Michael attended EKU and then Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He works as the General Counsel for the Executive Branch Ethics Commission. Michael has been coaching basketball for six years, five of those with Charlotte Court.
MONTELL MORONES
I’m Montell Morones and I coach Charlotte Court 16u. I was a part of the first group that started Charlotte Court traveling team and now I want to be able to give back to my community. Helping kids be able to further their career and earn a free education is why I am here. I have a social work degree and I enjoy helping children and young adults succeed in life. Helping people get better is my purpose.
TYLER SMITH
My name is Tyler Smith I am a graduate of Bryan Station high school where I was a 2 year varsity starter. I graduated in 2013 after graduating I attended Asbury university where I was a 4 year starter and was captain of the team for 3 years. I am also a 1,000 point scorer. I graduated Asbury in 2018 receiving my bachelors degree in Sports management. This season is my 2nd season as a coach. I began my coaching career in 2017 as freshman/assistant coach at Frederick Douglass high school where I am now the JV coach. I currently am the head coach for Charlotte Court Tyler 16U.
OREESE IVORY
Oreese has been a coach at Charlotte Court for many, many years. He continues to give back to the youth of Lexington and its surrounding areas. He provides quality instruction on the game and has helped numerous student athletes get into college, many who have gone on to play at higher levels.
