The DREAM Academy, formerly known as the STARS After School Program, is designed to support youth in grades 3-5 who are at risk of academic failure or dropping out. Serving 20-30 student-athletes from Fayette County, Kentucky, the program focuses on those facing challenges such as low academic achievement, eligibility for free or reduced lunch, behavioral issues, and mild behavior disorders. With referrals coming from families, schools, churches, and social service agencies like the Department of Juvenile Justice, the DREAM Academy provides targeted support to help these students succeed both academically and personally.
